I also just checked my Substack profile, and in the settings/privacy, there is a button to choose: Block AI training

Yes, and mine is on and has been from the beginning. I am also looking into FB settings, but that is proving much harder because anything online I find I am not having luck with. I did not post this poem on my personal website. And it was definitely Meta AI that "wrote" a poem on my poem.
Thanks for the inspiration, Janell, And Congratulations on the publisher's contract, whooo hooooo! Good for you! Persistence pays off. Love your writing. You've had an amazing year. Best wishes for the next one as well.
I love this post, and congratulations on all your accomplishments this year, including a publishing contract! I am grateful for your copyright wording and it makes me think I ought to do something similar on my substack. Also, I did not start out the year with a word, “boundless” is a word that has inspired me all year. Like you, taking back my joy is how I keep going in this world going more dystopian each day.
That's disturbing about Facebook feeding you a plagiarized AI version of your poem. Do you think the copyright notice on Substack will make a difference?
And did you just slip in there that you have a publisher for your novel??? Congratulations!!!!
I’m not sure if it will help. Apparently there is something you can do to prevent bots from scraping data from your website and I will have to get my website designer to help do that but I found this on a writers guild website. I need to learn more. And yes…I did just slip that in. 😀
You are a wonderful writer and I hope you continue. Would love to hear about being an adopted child and the life you had. Love you dear.
So proud of you, Janell. I’m honored to know you.
I love Old Man and Fava Beans, how dare they?
My word for 2024 was Intent.
I’m still thinking of the word for next year.
I love that word, Intent. I too haven’t thought of a word for next year yet.

Scary!

Thanks, Annette! I am always inspired by you and the humor and love in your writing.

I always love watching what you are doing and where you are going and what you’re learning about energy.
